HSCC and HSAC resistors are thick film resistors. These resistors come in a patented modular construction with a small footprint. The resistive material is printed on a ceramic alumina, and the terminals connect to the substrate. A glass cover film protects the resistive material. The substrate is subsequently mounted on an aluminum profile. Power ratings for HSCC and HSAC resistors range from 22 to 300 W, and the maximum working voltage is 1200 VAC. The resistors can sustain four times the nominal power for a 10-second pulse.
